Psychological counseling provides support in finding your way to cope with a difficult and challenging situation you are currently facing. This can be a work- or career-related issue, or a new life situation, a problem with friends or family or when you experience difficulties in making decisions. It usually takes only a few sessions – sometimes even only one – to clarify what is behind the issue and to work out a strategy with which you can master the situation.
In the process, I aim to put myself in your position, in order to comprehend your concern both cognitively and emotionally. Together we evaluate and then try out solutions that are suitable and workable for you.
It can happen, that in the course of the counseling process, you discover an urge to deeper explore and perhaps change something about yourself. Then counseling can turn into therapy, with a slower pace and covering a longer time-span.
