counseling
Counseling provides support in finding your way to cope with a difficult and challenging situation you are currently facing. This can be a work- or career-related issue, or a new life situation, a problem with friends or family or when you experience difficulties in making decisions. It usually takes only a few sessions – sometimes even only one – to clarify what is behind the issue and to work out a strategy with which you can master the situation.
It can happen, that in the course of the counseling process, you discover an urge to deeper explore and perhaps change something about yourself. Then counseling can turn into therapy, with a slower pace and covering a longer time-span.

therapy
It may be that your issue has been bothering you for some time already. You have been thinking of diagnoses such as ‘ADHD’, ‘personality disorder’ or others that you might have heard or read about. Or you may be suffering from depressive moods or panic attacks. In such cases, conversational psychotherapy provides an focus to carefully assess how you experience and have experienced events and feelings from the past and the present. At your own pace and in a protected safe environment, you will feel your way towards a change that feels right to you.
how we work
In the conversational process, I aim to put myself in your position, in order to empathize with and understand your concern also emotionally. Together we evaluate and then try out solutions that are suitable and workable for you.
This so-called person-centered approach comprises both counseling and psychotherapy. It is based on humanistic psychology and was founded by the US-American psychologist Carl Rogers.
Its main goal is for you to learn to explore your own behavior through my help, to regain your inherent capacity for self-realization, and eventually be able to solve your problems on your own and in accordance with who you are.

the person-centered approach – discovering your self-exploration
The goal of this approach is for you to learn how to explore and assess how you experience and how you act. My role as a therapist is to ensure that you have the safe space and the time you need to identify which blockages are standing in your way and how you can work to overcome them yourself.
It’s about learning to listen to yourself – to both your words and your body – with my support. This process will guide you towards self-realization, enabling you to shape your life in a self-determined manner and respond to life’s challenges with self-responsibility.

how much does it cost?
I run a private prctice, which means that my fees are generally not covered by German statutory health insurance.
Some private health insurers reimburse you for therapy sessions in compliance with the Heilpraktikergesetz (the German Alternative Practitioner Law). Please check with your insurance provider.
A single session costs € 90 and I offer multi-session packages at a lower fee. For those on low income I charge a social fee. For more information on fees look here or contact me.

mediation
Mediation is a method for resolving conflicts in various areas of life, including family, friendships, and professional settings. It helps restore disrupted communication and, unlike court proceedings, allows for mutually beneficial solutions.
The goal of mediation is to achieve a consensual, out-of-court resolution through open dialogue about the conflict’s background. The process is confidential and voluntary for all parties involved.
As an independent and impartial mediator, I guide both parties through a structured process in which they propose their own solutions, ensuring they are feasible and aligned with their needs. Mediation saves time and money, and can even enhance relationships between the parties.
Mediation can be conducted by one or two mediators. I am part of a network of qualified mediators in Berlin and can facilitate sessions in person or online, in my space or in a space of your choice.
If you’re interested in mediation, we will start with a free preliminary meeting to determine if it’s suitable for everyone. We will discuss terms, costs, and schedule the first session, typically requiring three to five sessions of about 90 minutes each, depending on the dispute’s complexity.
conflict-coaching
Conflict coaching provides support for managing disputes, especially when the other party is unwilling or unable to cooperate. Such conflicts can create insecurity and disrupt other areas of your life.
Through conflict coaching, you’ll identify actionable aspects of the conflict and learn to navigate those that feel overwhelming. You’ll gain clarity on your perspective, enabling you to approach the situation with confidence.
While conflict coaching doesn’t aim to resolve disputes—since that requires cooperation from both sides—it helps you clarify your relationship with the conflict and those involved. Often, a conflict can improve when one party gains a better understanding and adopts a more independent mindset.
